At the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary today.

The Wood Ducks were very agitated, making all sorts of squeaks and whinnies. The males were apoplectic, attacking each other, then forming brief alliances and attacking third or fourth individuals, then turning on each other again. All the while the females circled, looking nervous.

A young Great Blue Heron not quite catching something.

A Yellow-rumped Warbler, not quite posing, but at least revealing its name-sake body part.
