Flytrap update.

I discussed this venus flytrap a month and a half ago, and mentioned that a previous flytrap a few years earlier had flowered at Christmas, not a usual flowering time for this south-east US native.


Well, a bit behind (though still well ahead of) schedule, here is this year's plant sending up a flower stalk.

Unrelated peculiar zoological observation of the day: A line of four adult Trumpeter Swans flying down the street, fifty feet above a speeding green garbage truck.
