Tree peony. A shrub for three out of four seasons.

Tree peony, October. Click to see unnecessary Photoshoppery.

Tree peonies leaf out early and have spectacular spring flowers. The pale blue-green foliage tolerates the heat of summer and remains attractive long into fall, gradually turning golden-green with reddened edges. Winter? Winter is when you wait for spring to return.

But the truth of things is this:

Give a man a camera and he will go out and explore the world. Give him Photoshop, and he will sit in front of his computer all day.

That tree peony is really neat but you do have to click on the picture to see that photoshop was at work!

Thank you CS. I have added to the caption so that others may see the photoshoppery.

Well aren't you clever. Great use of photoshop.

nice plant, nice shot and the photoshoppery gives a fun, pop art feel to it.
i know the same to be true about a woman and a camera... and suddenly i'm a tiny bit relieved that i don't have photoshop as i expect that a woman would spend ages on the computer too :-)
