Out on the mudflat, mulling over mudthings. The tide is about to turn. Hitch up your pants and head for the beach.
There's nothing nicer than sleeping-in in this kind of weather. I feel like going into hibernation already. Is that a Striped Snail? Because I also came across a couple of snails last weekend and am having problem identifying them... http://p-s-y-l.blogspot.com/2008/11/visitors-from-taiwan.html
Hope you (and the snail) had a nice nap and wake up full of hope and even more joy. What a day!
psyl,Yeah, it's that time of year again, when you want to huddle around the wood-burning stove (which no one here has) with a good book. The snails are probably grove snails, alien species--Cepaea nemoralis. Karen,All of the same to you, and what a day indeed.
It's raining and getting colder by the minute, but it's a beautiful day in Illinois.
Cold, rainy, and gray in Montana, but it's still a beautiful week. This one lasts and lasts. Don't see many snails here, though.--Kate
