Hardly hoarific.

When water vapour turns directly to ice, frost is formed. When the frost achieves a certain degree of attractive fluffiness, it becomes hoarfrost. Calm air and a nearby source of water vapour, such as an incompletely frozen pond or a ditch, are necessary for a decent application of hoarfrost. I would categorize yesterday's ditch version as somewhat hoarid, but nowhere near hoarific.
