Deep Fog, Day 87 (or so). Set off to find colour. Something red, something orange, something golden-green?

Yellow! Although the message isn't very encouraging. No way out of the murk. I continue on to Paulik Park, where I find Goldilocks.

A willow, I think, a variety known as "Golden Curls," in the middle of the garden, a frozen dance of colour, a riot of twisty branches.

When obtaining a tree or shrub for the garden, don't forget to consider the winter attire. Even leafless, some plants can provide splashes of colour in the long, cold, grey months.

Or maybe just leave the kids' toys lying around outside.

Wow! Love those twisty branches. The color is an added bonus.
