Great Backyard Bird Count

A reminder, or first notice if you've not yet heard about it, tomorrow is the first day of 2009's Great Backyard Bird Count. It's fun, it's easy, it's free.

That is pretty awesome - having a Bald Eagle in your backyard count. Only in Alaska.

Although I saw a Red-tailed Hawk perched on someone's porch yesterday. Ha.

I also received a notice of this from Wild Birds Unlimited. I thought I might try to do the count this year ... not like we have a ton of birds around at the moment ... shouldn't be too difficult. We are dog sitting over the next 3 days ... could throw a bit of a curve ball but we'll see.

I've seen a bald eagle circle around here recently. Probably won't see it over the next 3 days though!!!
