Flickers, father and fledgling.


A young Northern Flicker has been moping around the yard, making plaintive noises. I didn't see a parent until yesterday when a male landed on the fence. The youngster flew up beside it.

It had a fair amount to say to its dad, which eventually had the desired effect.

Food.
