And so it begins...

Some species of ash is a relatively common street tree here. For most of the year it is background greenery, but it's one of the first to turn colour as summer ends.

There is a row of them behind a medical building next to a busy mall, mostly ignored I expect. Perhaps people willfully ignore the first trees to turn, a denial of the change in seasons. Summer isn't over.

For those who embrace change though, the colour is appreciated.

I like it when great gangs of foraging robins descend on the berries.

I love the yellow trees, although it's kind of sad. It means, the summer is actually over!
