Out on the mudflat, mulling over mudthings. The tide is about to turn. Hitch up your pants and head for shore.
Hi Hugh,This pic reminds me of something I saw recently. I saw 3 Osage Orange fruits (we call them "horse apples"), wedged between branches in a tree that wasn't an Osage Orange. At least, I don't think it was - I'll have to take a closer look at the pics. Looks like your apple is "hanging on" in the conventional manner. :-)
Hi Amber, I once found a cranberry wedged in the branches of a Labrador tea. I was so astounded that I posted it (Fifth image:http://rockpaperlizard.blogspot.com/2008/10/bog-berry-bounty-and-bonus-mystery.htmlYou have discovered a similar mystery, on a grander scale.
Sounds like it. I can't imagine a squirrel being able to wedge one up there...if I ever solve the mystery, I'll let you know. :-)
