If you live in Terra Nova, it might be a Northern Harrier. Nothing so spectacular in my yard today, although I have put up the hummingbird feeder. This drawn-out spring began weeks ago, but it doesn't really count until the neotropical migrants start moving through. (Although in some nearby places,Violet-green Swallows, vanguard of southern birds, have already arrived.) I expect to see one any day, perched on the wire out front. It's important to keep looking out the windows.
