Blue boy.

Of the tens,

(Look closely, the picture was taken for the Japanese knotweed, but there's a string of snow geese in the background.)

Of the hundreds,

Of the thousands,

There is only one blue.

I see that your part of the continent is familiar with the "charms" of Japanese knotweed, too.

(Sorry to ignore the main point of the post, it's just that I know more about plants than about birds.)

I had heard of the blue snow geese, but not seen one. Now I'll look for it - should be easy to find ;)

RPS, The only good thing about Japanese knotweed is that it sometimes out-competes Himalayan blackberry.
