When you visit the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia, you are given a little red sticker to place onto yourself to indicate you have paid for your admission.

And eventually you leave, to some degree overwhelmed by the collective beauty of what you have experienced, and as you walk back to the parking lot you spy the reddest thing in sight. You realize what it is, what it is made of, and you reach to your sticker to become part of it.

The first available garbage can.

It looks like a mass of ladybugs! I love that museum so much. Haven't been there in years but need to go back with my kid so she can see all that incredible stuff. We have a photo in our bathroom I took of the boat that is sticking out its spoon-like tongue.

At least they reached the garbage can and not the ground.

Wow, the garbage can has become a piece of art.
