Orange sky at night.

Last night's sky about 45 minutes before sunset. The haze and orange sun are due to smoke from distant forest fires, such as the one documented by the intrepid Susannah. I couldn't capture the true colour of the sun. It was blazing, traffic cone red-orange.

I was noticing the red sun last night, too, from Crescent Beach. I wished I had a camera, to catch the red sun reflecting in the water. We watched it (glancing at it, since I understand it is not safe to stare at it) until it sunk down into the water. Beautiful.
