Someone left the cart out in the rain.

This is typical second-half of November weather--cool, rainy, grey, with always a lurking threat of snow, depending on where the cold and wet systems collide.  We may get snow (a small amount) late this weekend; it's too early to be certain.  Nevertheless, scarred by memories of winter 08/09, we put the snow tires on the car today.

Nice shot. =) yes, we're getting our first snow this weekend and one of our chickens is practically naked of feathers (major moult) so I'm a little concerned she'll freeze. And we won't be here during the storm. Hoping she huddles with the others during the 3 day storm.

I find this image really, really sad. Does this mean I'm a closet supermarket-lover?
I don't think that I can take it...

Must be that time of year - the large Silver Rivercarts are joining the salmon making their way up the Courtenay River to spawn. Beautiful shot.

Hey, what happened to your shopping cart IDs and behavioral descriptions? Looks like the western greenbasket has some aquatic tendencies or this individual didn't gather enough material to survive the hard seasons.

(ps - I've linked to your shopping cart series: http://natureid.blogspot.com/2010/05/know-how-to-id-your-shopping-cart.html)
