 Bohemian Waxwing.

This is the first one I've seen in BC.  They are birds of note this far south, in complete opposition to the ubiquitous, albeit magnificent, Cedar Waxwing.  Remarkably this one landed in this exceedingly conspicuous spot as we were watching the wow-bird of the month (Yellow-breasted Chat), who was also being exceedingly conspicuous.

Most often you have to work hard for the good birds.  Now and then they pop up and say hello.

Love the silhouette on the bare tree...very chilling and yet warm at the same time- thanks for sharing this one!

Happy Holidays :)
