View from the blinds.

Varied Thrushes are notoriously skittish.  As soon as they are aware of you, they are gone.  It's rare to see one out in open, but I got lucky today when I cautiously pried apart the venetian blinds.  There he was, a handsome male.  I had to pry the blinds apart a little more to get the camera next to the window...

Here's the instant when he suspected something was up.  The next instant, he was gone.

Wow, what a cool bird. Don't remember ever seeing one when I lived in Canada. I probably didn't notice birds much back then, though.
