Watch and learn.


 How it's done.

Winter birds are now here in the back yard, including a loose flock of Dark-eyed Juncos (10-12 birds), who, in the inelegant way of ground-foragers, have a hard time feeding from the suet cage.  Basically one lands on top and pokes around inefficiently as others loiter below, waiting for crumbs to fall.

That's when Downy shows up to school them.  Downy- rocks a tuxedo, and a suet cage.
