Out on the mudflat, mulling over mudthings. The tide is about to turn. Hitch up your pants now.
Nice series Hugh. It's impossible to not appreciate an Osprey at work. I must know...where does "smurgle" come from?
Thanks Steve. "Smurgle" is my imagined sound of a large, determined bird grappling with a surprised fish underwater, surrounded by streams of bubbles.
We had an osprey do this almost in front of us while we were out in an inflatable boat ... only I didn't have the camera at the ready.
That may have to be my Secret Squirrel pseudonym. They call meeee Smurgle! The best.
