On my bike I heard the crows going nuts in a strip of forest. Another reason why biking is good--you can hear stuff. I pulled over and plunged into the trees. Crows will practically sit next to an owl and scream at it, making owl-finding relatively easy. They are equally vocal, but more stand-offish, with raccoons. Plus raccoons tend to keep moving. Owls just sit there and take it. Until they don't.
It was a dark day, so shutter speeds were low. The resulting blur may add to the sense of rage. Note crow head on the left.
